DoYa2 is the second full combat competitor Beetleweight for Retcon Robotics. It takes all of the lessons learnt from the first version, all of the design improvements made incrementally and throws them all into one (hopefully) competitive design. Once again, DoYa maintains its two wheel drive setup and front hinge flipper weapon, gone however is the overlapping multi-part armour, changed out in favour of a single 3mm thick mild steel package and new dynamic forks at the front to attempt to combat the ground game. The new version takes direct thematic inspiration from one of my favourite robots 'Hypershock' (BattleBots competitor 2015-present), noticeable in the overall colour scheme and in the "ears" at the top of the flipper - designed to give the arm a little more reach to aid in self righting and to catch opponents that might otherwise fly right over the robot like a ramp (a feature similar to the horns of DoYa's Content Creator Rumble Victory in 2021).
The new bot debuted at the Bristol Bot Builders Beetle Brawl event in February 2023.

DoYa2 entered the BBB Beetle Brawl in February, where it picked up an 0:2 record.
In its opening Melee, it faced Big L&D and Cormoran. The fight started in DoYa's favour, with Big L&D being wedged and not being able to penetrate the armour. Both bots got stuck on the long pointed blades of Cormoran, being rotated around the arena. DoYa continues to wedge Big L&D as Cormoran becomes stuck under the wall. DoYa then drives away to the opposite side of the arena before stopping abruptly for no discernible reason, thus loosing the fight.
In the redemption round, DoYa2 faced fan favourite Sir-Lance-A-Frog. It was an honour to share the box with Nick and the frog. The fight was initially pushed back by Lance-a-Frog having an issue that was rectified reasonably quickly. At the start of the fight DoYa box rushes but bounces off of the front wedge, turning sharply and unexpectedly and, while still on full tilt forwards, rams into the arena sidewall, becoming stuck. Frog does all it can to try and free me but DoYa will not budge. The fight is called and DoYa is out of the competition.
DoYa2 would later fight BigL&D again, alongside Mini Mouse and Ray in a whiteboard rumble. DoYa got an initial flip in on Ray before being roofed by Mini Mouse. Both Mini Mouse and Big L&D then got several hits in on DoYa before DoYa retaliated by flipping Mini Mouse into a side wall, causing it to hit several surfaced and gyro to a halt. Big L&D continued to hit DoYa from behind and immobilised it on the pit. The pt button was pressed and DoYa and Ray went down.
