TADPOLE

Tadpole is a UK Featherweight. Its basic design is an invertible 2 wheel drive wedge (formerly known on the Featherweight scene as 'Gengar'). Tadpole is armed with a flail mace tail at the rear of the robot. The colour scheme is that of its heavyweight counterpart 'Bullfrog', sporting the full camo look and neon green eyes.

Tadpole made it's debut at RoboNerd 2021 where it made a deep run into the tournament, making the Top 8. In it's opening rumble it defeated FeatherDozer and BB8, both by pitting. From here it entered the Round of 16 where it faced Flipper 'Pizza Time'. After a close battle, Tadpole won via judges decision. In the Round of 8 it faced Team Shock and Airwave. After being flipped a few times, Airwave OOTAd Tadpole in fine style.

Tadpole returned to RoboNerd in 2022 with a new weapon after the implementation of an active weapon rule in BEVs. The BEVs competition also had a new tournament format - the Round(ish) Robin, allowing robots to fight multiple times for points. However, Tadpole lost all of its fights. A lot was learnt from this competition and some upgrades will be made for the future.
