Shatterstar is a Lego semi-replica of Bots FC 30lb  machine 'Knock Off White' that has competed across the American live scene. Unlike Knock Off White, Shatterstar implements a tracked drive system as means of its mobility. It has taken several forms across the years, settling on its 3rd generation appearance as seen in the video below. It made its debut in Lego Wars Series 2 Heat B before making an appearance at the 2022 Reading Brick Show.

HISTORY

2020

Shatterstar was constructed in the summer of 2020, just after the recording of series 1 of Lego Wars. The robot had many issues as any first time build would, but was put through its paces in a series of fights that were uploaded to the World of Woodrow channel.

2021

Shatterstar was rebuilt after being destroyed by the Diddler and this version was accepted into Lego Wars' second series. The bot still had many issues related to Thermal Cutout (a safety mechanism inside the battery packs) meaning that its performance was less than stellar. Despite moving quickly around the arena, Shatterstar threw a track in its first fight against Detonator but continued to battle regardless. After a cutout, it managed to scoop up Detonator with its long forks and push them towards the pit where Detonator eventually fell. In fight 2, cutout came back to haunt Shatterstar and the veterans Petunia were able to pit them. Finally, Two Geoff Two Fabulous dissected the tracks of Shatterstar and winning by knockout. This took Shatterstar out of the competition, finishing its heat on 3 points.

2022

Shatterstar wouldn't be seen again until it's complete rebuild for Series 3. This new version looked the part, much sleeker and more finished than its two predecessors. Improvements were made to the track system and front armour too. Its first outing was in the All Stars Special where it faced Series 1 champions Panic Attack. The bot performed far better, managing to keep up with the former champions and dominate the first half of the fight before Panic Attack got their forks under the wedge, lifting Shatterstar and pitting them.

In its Series 3 Heat, Shatterstar faced Rusty, Atlas, Megalovania and Willbert. Its first fight was a tense driving battle against Atlas. After showing dominance through most of the battle, thermal cutout reared its head once more, losing Shatterstar a controversial judges decision. Fight 2 saw Shatterstar face Megalovania. Its new front armour held its own against the deadly vertical spinner but after a while, Megalovania found the tracks and left Shatterstar immobile. Rusty proved to be a fun fight, with two tracked hammer bots hitting each other repeatedly. The damage built up from Rusty and Shatterstar were able to eventually capitalise on a driving mistake, pushing Rusty into the pit. The final fight was against Willbert, and with the new front wedge, Shatterstar was well placed for an ideal matchup. Though the hammer did very little, the wedge proved dominant against the spinner on Willbert, luring them into the pit also. Shatterstar got enough points to escape the heats.

In the round of 32, Shatterstar faced off against fan favourite Bricker Brother. Bricker started the fight the aggressor, managing to hoist Shatterstar completely off of the arena floor, however, this move came back to bite them as in a cruel twist of fate, Bricker Brother suffered a fatal Thermal Cutout mid-fight. Shatterstar capitalised, cleaving the armour off and making their way through to the Round of 16. Here they faced Tantrum in a close battle, but with further thermal cutout issues, Tantrum was able to outpush and dominate the fight, winning the judge's decision.
